The History of
STUDIO D313

Studio D313 was founded in March of 2020 known as "Super Visual Effects". What started as a COVID-19 pandemic boredom buster turned into a production studio dedicated to making short films.

Super Visual Effects was originally meant to be a standalone visual effects studio for low budget independently produced films, but eventually evolved into the primary production studio of Barrett Funderburk. Super Visual Effects still exists as the in-house special effects workshop for Studio D313.

Eyesight was released in September of 2020 had its festival run in January of 2021, getting accepted into three festivals and officially becoming an award winner in one later that year.

In January of 2022, Super Visual Effects changed its name and brand to Studio D313. The name and logo pay homage to a now defunct black box theater coalition from Rochester NY. The tale of the Black Sheep will live on!
